The beach has seen another record year in real estate, and you can see for yourself what a year this has been.

You can see from the numbers that 2005 was the year for condos. Last year, we did 54% of the volume of condo sales that we did in 2005, but with residential we had an increase of 43.8% over 2005. This shows that more people are moving to our area for the weather, life style and lower cost of living.

Since 2009, We have had a steady increase in sales across the board. Inventories have been in a steady decline since 2006.

With the new tax rules, you may not be able to deduct all your property taxes where you currently live but that should not be a problem here at the beach due to the low taxes we have. Now is still a great time to sell that special property here at the beach.

The sun is shining at the beach today, and we were blessed to have Irma only skim over us, but our prayers go out to those who were not so fortunate.

SOS (Society of Shaggers) started September 15th, and is a fun 10-day whirl wind of activities and dancing in the streets.

Grand Strand sales activity was very strong in August. Home sales volume increased 11.6% for the month and continues its strong growth, up 8.7% year-to-date. Condo sales volume increased 14.2% while the median sales price remained flat. Residential lot sales were up 38.0% for the month and up 13.4% year-to-date.
